The first test match between India and Australia ended as a tame draw today. Set to score 299 for a win, India was happy to settle for a draw. I dont think they ever wanted to win this test more than ever batting on the fifth day. Only interesting thing which could have happened is Sachin Tendulkar overtaking Brian Lara as the highest run getter in Test Cricket. Alas, that too didnt happen. Sachin fell short of the target by 14 runs. One more test for him to achieve the milestone. He has been really struggling to score runs since the Srilankan tour and the bad run with the bat continues.
I think after playing 5 days of cricket and not able to produce a result is truly waste of time!! But I still see large number of people standing in front of the TV watching the test matches in my office!
