Bold decision by MS Dhoni

Indian cricket team is on a roll these days. Nothing goes wrong for this magical team. It is not pure luck but I am sure lot of hard work and dedication has gone into it. The team now plays as one unit and the dependency on individuals are diminishing. When Virendar Sehwag and Yuvraj failed in the 4th ODI, Gambhir and Dhoni contribute the runs. You have a strong middle order in the form of Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma.

After the first three ODI's, Sachin Tendulkar was the only top order batsman without any big innings. Usually, the Indian team would have persisted with Sachin and tried to provide him more opportunities to score. But MS Dhoni took bold decision of "resting" Sachin Tendulkar for the 4th ODI and brought in Rohit Sharma. This is a refreshing change in the Indian team strategy because it was always considered that Sachin Tendulkar can never be "rested". If Sachin thinks that he should play the next world cup, he should be happy being rested for these kind of matches.

But the thing which really puzzled me is that he came in No.3 slot instead of Rohit Sharma, which was widely expected. But he has justified his promotion in the batting order by scoring a wonderful 94.
